How to read the results
- Ingredients are normally listed from most to least, but anything at 1% or below, along with fragrance and colorants, may appear in any order. That is why an ingredient’s place in the list says little about how much of it is there.
- An unmatched name is not a warning sign. It simply has not come up in our notes yet.
- Amounts and textures differ from product to product even for the same ingredient, so a study summarized in a note cannot be assumed to hold for any particular product.
- All entries are collected in the A–Z ingredient index.
